Soccer Season

Canyon's soccer season is finally over. His last game was Saturday. It has been so fun to watch him play. I'm glad the weather finally started to warm up. The first few games this spring were miserably cold. Chad even got to coach one of the games this season. The regular coach was out of town, so Chad had his turn at coaching. I think Canyon enjoyed having dad coach, and Chad enjoyed it too. Too bad with his work schedule he can't do things like that on a regular basis. Here's a few pics, and now we get to start enjoying T-ball!!

Swimming Fun

The kids finally got to use the swim goggles the Easter Bunny brought them. We went to the Clearfield Aquatic Center the other day. I hung out in the hot tub while Chad swam with the boys. It was a fun night other than Ryker decided to follow Canyon a little further in the deep end than he should have. Chad caught him and everything was okay, but it was still a little frightening!!

OUCH!!

My niece came down last week as she was catching a flight to go here....

She came down the night before her flight left and we got to spend a little time with her. We ran some errands and ate dinner. She decided she needed to get her eyebrows waxed!! I couldn't resist taking pic of her!!! The whole eyebrow waxing is completely foreign to me....I don't have enough eyebrows to even see....I sure wouldn't want someone yanking out the little bit that I have!!!

Sorry....I didn't even think to get a pic after she was all finished. Krystal is now in Italy for 3 weeks, and we'll miss her lots, but we hope she was a great time!!! I can't wait to see what she brings back for me.....j/k!!

Mother's day Recap

I had such a wonderful and relaxing Mother's day. Although we didn't do much, I couldn't have asked for a better day/weekend. Saturday night we went out to dinner at Mimi's Cafe to celebrate with Chad's mom which was nice. Even though they live really close, we don't see his mom and Ray as much as we should.

Canyon's had his mother's day gift from school since Thursday. It was killing him to wait clear until Sunday to give it to me. Saturday night he was telling me how he couldn't wait until morning. He's so cute. Anyway....I told Chad that he had to get up with the boys on Sunday morning so I could sleep in. No such luck.....Canyon woke my up at 5:45 telling me Happy Mother's day and asking if I was ready to open my present yet. I did get him to go back to sleep for a short time, but 7 o'clock...he was up and ready for me to open my present. I gave in this time, and got out of bed for him. He gave me cute little card that he made, a sun reflector, and a coupon book full of sweet chores I can redeem at any time. Ryker also made a cute picture for me at daycare. They we both so excited to give their gifts, and that just made my day.

We then decided to go get some breakfast. I figured that every breakfast place would be packed. Chad took us up to The Oaks, up Ogden Canyon. I had never eaten breakfast there before, and it was yummy. I took a few pics of the boys while we were waiting for our food, and Chad took a few of me and the boys. Here's us getting ready for the picture...

(Thanks for the warning!!!)

And here we are all ready for the picture....

I love my boys so much, and cherish every moment I have with them. After breakfast Chad went home and took a nap since he was going to have to work. They boys and I went and visited Chad's step-mom and my dear friend Amy. We also watched the jazz game and went and visited my mom that evening. It was such a wonderful day, and I'm grateful to be a mom. I'm also grateful for the wonderful mother I have. She's such a great example, and blessing in my life. Love you Mom!!!

Back to work...

For those of you who don't know, I've decided to go back to work. I've actually been working 3 part time jobs (2 of them from home) for a few years now. I figured Ryker was old enough now that day care wouldn't be such a bad thing for him, so I'm still working my 3 part time jobs, but just working a few more hours at all of them. I'm actually working out of the house 4 days a week, and I'm luck enough to be able to take the boys with me to work on 2 of those days. The other 2 days, I go to Salt Lake and the boys go to day care. Ryker is going to KinderCare and Canyon is going to an in home day care at one of the girls house that's in his class. Once school is out, Canyon will also go to KinderCare for the summer with Ryker. On top of the 4 days out of the house work, I'm still doing Marriott from home. Needless to say...we stay very busy, and blogging has just been one of those things I haven't had much time to do lately. Hopefully I'll find a balance soon with work and everything else.
I really thought Ryker would LOVE daycare. He's always asking to have friends to play with. Well....he didn't really dig it at first. It was a much bigger adjustment for him then I thought it would be. He's doing much better now, and I'm really glad. It broke my heart to leave him there on the days he was crying!!
Anyway....there's my excuse for not blogging much lately. I plan to do a few more posts in the next couple of days!!!
