Weekend/Halloween Adventures....

So it feels like it's been an eternity since I've posted anything. I often barely have time to sit down as it is, but then there's always little distractions that make it even harder to sit at the computer at times. Here's a prime example of this......I started this post over an hour ago. Canyon's at his friends house, and Ryker was playing so since I had a free moment, I thought I'd make a quick note on my blog. As I was updating a few things, I saw Ryker coming down the hall to go to his bedroom, and he had all sorts of white goop on him. Of course I quickly got up to see what his was doing, and he was going in his room to get his swimsuit. He had gotten sunblock all over him (and everything else), and he needed his suit so he could go swimming. If it hadn't been for the fact that I had to hold his hands so no more sunblock dripped on stuff I would have taken a pic. So....now that I'm done giving him a bath and scrubbing off the coffee table (which he rubbed sunblock all over), here I am once again attempting to post something to my blog.

The last week has been really busy for us. Friday night we went to the Halloween carnival at Canyon's school. I volunteered to help run one of the games, so I recruited Aunt Becky to walk my kids around the carnival. They had fun, and the best thing of all was that.....I WON THE RAFFLE PRIZE!!!! I was so excited. It's a big inflatable yard decoration for Christmas. My kids can't wait to put it up. I never win anything, so I was very pleasantly surprised.

After the carnival, the kids and I loaded in the car to head to Park City to spend the weekend with my parents at their condo. Brad, Andrea, and Becky were also there, and we always enjoy spending time with them. It was a very relaxing and fun weekend. Saturday was pretty much consumed with shopping. Sunday was Canyon's birthday, so everything kind of revolved around him. Uncle Brad made him breakfast in bed. We had yummy waffles for breakfast, and for dinner we had steak and corn on the cob. All of Can's favorite foods. I think he had a pretty good day. Chad was able to stay up there with us for a couple of nights, but because of work, he wasn't able to stay the entire time. Since Canyon didn't have school on Monday or Tuesday, we were able to stay until Tuesday before we headed home.

Tuesday evening we had a get together with Chad's mom and Ray, and his sister Andrea and her three little boys. Halloween is always such a hectic night, that we decided we'd get together on Tuesday, so that we'd be able to see each other a little longer than just stopping at grandma and grandpa's for a quick trick or treat. We had pizza, and the kids played. The boys always love it when their cousins come over.

The boys were so excited when Halloween finally came. After we picked Canyon up from school, we went to Salt Lake to go trick-or-treating at Marriott, with Brad, Andrea, and Andrea's niece AshLee. She looked so cute in her Snow White costume. Andrea's work had a whole treasure hunt set-up with different stops for the kids to get candy. It was really cute, and the kids loved it. After we left Salt Lake we made a quite stop at Chad's dad's before we headed to our church for the ward trick or treat. The kids got WAY too much candy there. We went home and finished carving our pumpkins, and went to a few of the neighbors house, and we were done for the night. I love Halloween, but I'm so glad it's over. I was completely exhausted by nights end.
Instead of posted a ton of pics on this post, I thought I'd just make a quick slide show of all the events this past week. Hopefully you enjoy....
